'Diagram of Sentiment' by Jessie Imam
The $5,000 first prize was announced by Prize Judge, Melinda Martin, Director of Linden New Art and presented by Nillumbik Shire Council Mayor Cr Helen Coleman at the exhibition opening in the Barn Gallery at Montsalvat.

After finishing at NCAT Folio Preparation, Jessie completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Photomedia) at Monash University in 2009. Jessie’s work has been included in exhibitions including Aesthetic Positioning (Melb), Ambidextrous (Melb), Suspicious Minds (Launceston), Love, Art school & Death (Melb) and Cafe Nu (Melb).

Jessie's most recent works centre around themes of death, transition and traces. Although from a photographic background, Jessie’s practice also includes sculpture, installation, painting and the moving image.

Check out the exhibition at Monsalvat until 2nd August. In the meantime, check out Jessie's Facebook art page here: Jessie Imam Fine Art. Further information can be found at http://www.jessie-imam.com/

Liz Cameron on the opening night of her exhibition
Talented ex NCAT Create student Liz Cameron is hosting a solo exhibition of her artworks called RABBITS, GOATS, FOXES AND THE ODD DUCK.

Liz is a prolific artist who has used her experience at NCAT Create in 2014 to work toward an exhibition. She works across a range of both 2-D and 3-D media, exploring her fascination for anthropomorphic animals.
The opening was well attended and by the end of the evening there were red stickers everywhere.

Congratulations Liz on a (almost) sellout show!

20 June 6-8pm.
