FOLIO PREPARATION WINS THE SKETCHBOOK PROJECT'S COMMUNITY CHALLENGE!

We have won the 2012 Sketchbook Project Community Challenge! The Sketchbook Project is an international art project run by the Brooklyn NY Art library where artists apply for a skecthbook, fill it and then return it to the library. The sketchbooks then tour internationally.

To quote the Arthouse Co-op:
"The 2012 Sketchbook Project Community Challenge votes have been tallied! Thanks to everyone who nominated a local group for the contest — we’ve been amazed by the response and feel so motivated to see such wonderful people and organizations working hard to make their communities shine.

Although we initially decided to select five winning groups, we just couldn’t stop there. We’re proud to announce that the top 10 nominated organizations will all receive free entries to the project!

Beginning August 19, each group will be listed on the 2012 Sketchbook Project sign-up page. Each time anyone signs up for the Project, that artist will be able to select one of these 10 organizations to receive a free entry.

Each group will continue to earn entries for the duration of the contest (as groups reach their goals, their names will be removed from the sign-up page).
So remember to encourage friends and supporters who’ve been thinking about joining the 2012 Sketchbook Project to sign up starting August 19 and earn free entries for your Community Challenge winners!

And the winners are…

1. Universidad Autónoma de Baja California
2. City of Palo Alto Children’s Art Program
3. Bridges for Brain Injury
4. Beads of Courage
5. Generation Rwanda
6. Harmony Science Academy
7. LA County High School for the Arts
8. Northland Design Studies
